On July 25, 2022, 18-year-old Lacorian Renard Maxwell was fatally shot while seated in a vehicle outside his residence on Kimberly Loop in Pinson, Alabama. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to multiple 911 calls reporting six to eight gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Maxwell unresponsive in the vehicle; he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
