On January 23, 2015, an African-American male teenager, Jordan Ellerbe, age 16, was fatally shot while sitting on a porch in Wilmington, Delaware. He was struck in the head during the shooting, which occurred on North Broom Street in the Hilltop neighborhood. Two other teenagers present were also shot but survived.
