On November 21, 2020, in Ohatchee, Alabama, 34-year-old Brittany Nicole Yoder was fatally shot by a Calhoun County Sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop. Around 3:32 a.m., the deputy conducted the stop on Grayton Road South, discovering a significant quantity of methamphetamine and a handgun in the vehicle. Yoder and her companion, Timothy Alan Wood of Wilsonville, were arrested for methamphetamine trafficking and possession of a firearm by individuals prohibited from owning one.
