In June 2019, 20-year-old Marka "Willoe" Watkins was reported missing by her grandmother after last being seen on June 17. On July 28, 2019, investigators discovered her body at the bottom of a 35-foot well on an abandoned property in Vance, Alabama. The recovery process was arduous, taking over 12 hours due to the well's depth and the presence of concrete poured over her remains.
