On a late summer day, the 17th of September, 1986, two employees loading gravel on an outlying Coors property in Golden, Colorado, made a grim discovery. Tucked away in the brush, they found a badly decomposed body. The subsequent investigation would identify the remains as those of 26-year-old Julia Ann DeTemple, a white female, turning a missing person's last known moments into a homicide investigation.
