Rick Van Duyn, a 27-year-old security guard from Genesee, Colorado, was tragically murdered on October 19, 1986, while on duty. Van Duyn worked for Evergreen Security and was tasked with transporting the night deposit from a Safeway store in Conifer to the Mountain Valley Bank in Aspen Park.
