D'Andre Mayfield, a 20-year-old from Denver, was shot and killed on November 23, 2015. His body was found inside a vehicle near 47th Avenue and Peoria Street after officers responded to a report of shots fired. Mayfield was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Denver coroner confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
