Rene Wells, a 34-year-old man, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of October 1, 2016, in Denver, Colorado. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. in the 500 block of East Colfax Avenue. When officers responded to a report of gunshots, they found Wells suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Denver Health Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
