In the late summer of 2010, the life of Larry D. Thompson, a 39-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short on the streets of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On Sunday, September 5th, Thompson was fatally shot in the 4400 block of N. 28th Street. His death was one of many homicides that plagued the city that year, a grim statistic in a wave of violence.
