In the autumn of 2011, the life of a young African-American man, Marshall Johnikin, was tragically cut short at the age of 22. On the evening of Sunday, October 16th, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Johnikin was fatally shot. The incident occurred in an alley located in the 2400 block of North 23rd Street, just after 9 p.m., marking another grim moment in the city's history of violence. He was a son, a friend, and a young man with a future ahead of him, which was extinguished in a senseless act.
