On the evening of April 3, 2012, Justin Kohen, a 28-year-old Caucasian male, was leaving his home on Milwaukee's south side when his life was irrevocably altered. At approximately 10 p.m. in the vicinity of South 16th Street and West Cleveland Avenue, he was approached by multiple individuals and stabbed.
