In the spring of 2012, the life of a young African-American man, Thomas C. Haydon, was cut tragically short on a street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On the evening of April 18, 2012, Haydon, a 25-year-old male, was shot and killed in the 2300 block of N. 48th St. The incident left a void in the lives of those who knew him and added another name to the city's growing list of homicide victims that year.
