In the spring of 2014, the life of 19-year-old Devon E. Harris, an African-American male, was tragically cut short in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For days, his family and friends were unable to reach him, a silence that stirred a growing sense of unease. Their worst fears were realized on Saturday, April 12, 2014, when a family member discovered him deceased. The cause of his untimely death was the result of gun violence.
