A badly beaten body of a man is found on the side of the highway
The body of Alejandro Gutierres-Perez was found in woods near the intersection of NE Sand Hill Road and Highway 300 in North Mason on Aug. 19, 2003. He died of multiple blunt force trauma wounds to the back of the head, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office. It appeared he’d been killed elsewhere and his body was dumped there, on an overgrown berm. His body was likely only there about 24 hours.
