On September 29, 1980, Patricia Eve Gaugler, a 27-year-old woman, was found murdered in Hanover County, Virginia. Patricia was last seen alive around 3:00 p.m. that day at a Sunoco gas station near Interstate 95 in Ashland, Virginia, while traveling from her home in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, to live with her brother in Richmond.
