In the late hours of August 11, 2011, a car crash at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Decatur Street in Denver, Colorado, initially appeared to be a tragic accident. First responders arrived at the scene to find a green 1998 Hyundai Elantra that had crashed through a fence. Inside the vehicle was 24-year-old Manuel Amaro-Rojas, a male resident of Denver.
