On August 1, 1982, William Anthony Kagdis, a 54-year-old NASA engineer, was found murdered in a motel room at the Johnson Motel in Warrenton, Virginia. Kagdis, who was traveling on business from Baltimore to Tennessee, checked into the motel the evening before his death.
