On a summer night in Richmond, Virginia, the life of Milton F. Jackson, a 51-year-old Caucasian man, was tragically cut short. On July 24, 2012, in the parking lot of a Family Dollar on Jefferson Davis Highway, Jackson was fatally shot. The Richmond Police Department received a call around 11:31 p.m. and, upon arrival, discovered Jackson slumped in the front passenger seat of an SUV. Despite the efforts of first responders who transported him to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
