In the spring of 2014, the life of 50-year-old Rodney Lewis was tragically cut short in a homicide that remains an unsolved chapter in Richmond, Virginia's history. On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, Lewis was killed in the 2800 block of Montecrest Avenue, a residential street in the city. To his friends and community, he was affectionately known as 'Shorty.' His death left a noticeable void and a lingering sense of loss for those who knew him.
