In the autumn of 2013, a life was tragically cut short in Denver, Colorado. Luis Adame-Luevanos, a 19-year-old male, was involved in an altercation at a 7-Eleven convenience store located at 105 N. Knox Court on October 3, 2013. The dispute escalated dramatically when a suspect pulled out a gun and shot Adame-Luevanos. He succumbed to his injuries from the gunshot wound.
Known affectionately as 'Toton' to his family and friends, a childhood nickname that stuck, he was remembered for his
good sense of humor and for always having a smile on his face. Although born in Denver, he was raised in his family's hometown of Ejido San Miguel in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. His loved ones recalled him as a loving individual who would be deeply missed.
Following the shooting, the Denver Police Department opened a homicide investigation into the death of Luis Adame-Luevanos. However, the case grew cold over time, and as of now, it remains an unsolved homicide. Law enforcement has not publicly identified any suspect or suspects in the fatal shooting, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Authorities continue to ask for the public's help for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in solving the decade-old case and bringing justice for Adame-Luevanos and his family.
