On January 12, 2014, 67-year-old Jose Diaz was tragically shot and killed during a Broncos-watching party at his home near 36th and Lafayette in Denver, Colorado. According to reports, Diaz had been cooking food for the attendees when an altercation occurred between his son and another guest, Clay Baeza-Garcia, who was invited to the party.
