A young man is stabbed to death while sitting in a car with his girlfriend
Just after midnight on the morning of Sunday, October 13, 1996, Phillip Hernandez had just returned with his girlfriend from a date at Rivercenter Mall. Hernandez and his girlfriend were sitting in his car, a 1987 blue Oldsmobile 4- door, in front of his girlfriend's home in the 1900 block of Schley, when three Hispanic males 15 to 16 years old approached the car.
