On August 12, 2015, 36-year-old Derrick Wilford was found shot multiple times near the intersection of 22nd and Stout Street in Denver, Colorado. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the early hours of the morning and found Wilford suffering from his injuries. He was immediately transported to Denver Health Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds a few hours later.
