On a pleasant October afternoon in 2015, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace at an apartment complex in Denver, Colorado. Dareon Tarbor, a 30-year-old Black man, was found shot and bleeding outside a building at 11100 East Dartmouth Avenue on October 10, 2015.
