On March 12, 2016, 46-year-old Jose Cortez was shot and killed in Denver, Colorado. The shooting took place in the early morning hours near the 1500 block of North Knox Court. Despite investigations, no suspects have been identified, and the case remains unsolved. Denver's Cold Case Unit continues to actively investigate Cortez's murder, hoping that new information or advances in forensic technology could help solve the case.
