On October 29, 2008, George Davenport, age 31, was shot and killed in San Antonio, Texas. His death was part of a string of violent crimes linked to the Texas Syndicate, a notorious prison gang operating in Texas. The Texas Syndicate, which has long been involved in drug trafficking and other criminal activities, was attempting to expand its influence in San Antonio at the time.
