Neofito Ortiz, age 55, was found dead on April 13, 2016, in an overgrown alley near Waugh Street and Cravens Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. He had suffered gunshot wounds to his neck and chest. Ortiz's sister reported that he was last seen at their shared home around 10:30 p.m. the night before. The next day, worried about his whereabouts, she found his body in the alley around noon.
