Nikalas Ishmeal Clay, aged 20, was killed on January 11, 2016, during a rolling shootout that led to a crash in San Antonio, Texas. Clay was inside a black four-door Buick that was engaged in a shootout with another vehicle while speeding through a neighborhood on Upland Road. During the incident, the car lost control and crashed into a tree. Bullet holes were found in the vehicle, and shell casings were scattered throughout the area. Clay died at the scene, and another person in the car was hospitalized.
Authorities were unable to locate the other vehicle involved in the incident, and a third individual reportedly fled on foot. As of the time of investigation, no arrests had been made, and it remained unclear whether Clay's death was due to the crash or gunfire. This incident was one of several violent occurrences in San Antonio’s East Side, where gang-related violence and rolling gun battles were becoming more common.
