On March 5, 2016, Marcus Cummings, age 20, was shot and killed in San Antonio, Texas, while standing in his front yard on Meadow Trace. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when a dark-colored truck or SUV drove by and fired multiple gunshots at Cummings and his friends. Marcus was struck multiple times and died from his injuries. A 17-year-old girl, who was nearby, was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the case is still under investigation. Authorities are seeking public assistance to identify those responsible, and a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
