Delfino Hernandez, aged 18, was shot and killed on November 25, 2011, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. at a neighborhood park on the 12600 block of Huntington Venture Drive. Delfino was sitting in a parked car with his friends when an unknown dark-colored sedan pulled up beside them. The occupants of the sedan confronted Delfino and his associates, questioning their gang affiliations. Shortly after the exchange, someone in the sedan fired a shotgun at Delfino’s vehicle, striking him in the head. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Delfino was immediately rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Despite efforts by the Houston Police Department to identify the assailants, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. Crime Stoppers of Houston has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible for Delfino’s death. Authorities have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing justice to Delfino and his family.
