On April 9, 2014, 23-year-old Jose Miguel Salinas and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Melissa Ann Guerra, were found fatally shot in their apartment at 5402 Renwick Drive in Houston, Texas. A neighbor, alerted by the cries of the couple's five-month-old daughter, discovered the bodies with the unharmed infant lying between them.
