On February 23, 2023, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Houston police officers responded to a welfare check at an apartment located at 7509 Touchstone Street. Upon arrival, they detected a strong odor indicative of decomposition. Inside the residence, they discovered the body of 73-year-old Wesley Hogan in an advanced state of decomposition. An autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined that Hogan had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, leading to his death.
Family and friends reported that their last contact with Hogan was on February 16, 2023, a week prior to the discovery of his body. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division has been actively investigating the case. As of now, no suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with Hogan's murder.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect(s).
