Kevin Paddio, a 42-year-old man, was found fatally stabbed at his residence in northeast Houston on December 22, 2014. Police responded to the scene after Kevin's brother discovered him in his bedroom, having suffered multiple stab wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene. The incident occurred late at night at the 6100 block of Antha Street, and the investigation revealed no evidence of forced entry, suggesting that Paddio may have known his killer, who was familiar with the layout of the home.
Houston police believe the suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage, fled the scene after committing the crime. The suspect is described as a Black male of slim build. The footage was publicly released in hopes of identifying the person responsible. Authorities believe that due to the brutal nature of the attack, involving a chef's knife, this may have been a targeted and very violent incident. As of now, the case remains unsolved, and both the Houston Police Department and Crime Stoppers have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving the crime. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest (sources: Chron, KHOU).
