On June 14, 2016, Houston police discovered the body of Mark Anthony Thomas, a 48-year-old African American male, inside his vehicle in the rear parking lot of a club located at 3352 Old Spanish Trail. Investigators suspected foul play, and an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed that Mr. Thomas had been strangled, ruling his death a homicide.
