On June 14, 2016, 48-year-old Mark Anthony Thomas was found deceased inside his vehicle in the rear parking lot of a club located at 3352 Old Spanish Trail in Houston, Texas. Responding officers from the Houston Police Department (HPD) arrived at approximately 9 a.m. and discovered Thomas's body. An autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined that Thomas had been strangled, classifying his death as a homicide.
