On January 30, 2017, Thomas Cox, aged 39, was fatally shot during a robbery in Houston, Texas. Cox, who worked at a local food truck, was closing up late at night when two armed individuals approached and demanded money. Cox refused to hand over the earnings from the food truck, and the confrontation escalated. The suspects then shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.
