On August 22, 2017, Sheldon Jackson, aged 47, was critically injured in a shooting that occurred on St. Emanuel Street in Houston, Texas. The incident took place around 1:10 p.m., and emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department transported him to Ben Taub General Hospital. Despite undergoing surgery for his injuries, Jackson succumbed to his wounds on July 15.
