On August 27, 2017, William Lawrence Duncan, a 43-year-old African American male, was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at 8849 Braesmont Drive. Due to high water conditions at the time, Houston Police Department patrol officers faced challenges reaching the scene. HPD SWAT officers utilized an airboat to access the location, discovering that Mr. Duncan had already been transported to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
