On a late Sunday night in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of Tamiko Montgomery, a female, was irrevocably altered. On August 31, 2014, outside an apartment complex located at 1283 Raines Road in the southern part of the city, a witness observed a man standing over Montgomery's figure on the ground. As the witness called for help, the unidentified man fled the scene, disappearing into the night. First responders arrived to find Montgomery suffering from severe wounds to her head.
