Darrius Small

In the midst of Memphis, Tennessee's ongoing struggle with gun violence, another young life was tragically cut short. Darrius Small, a 25-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot on February 22, 2016. His life was taken outside of a local restaurant, a public space turned into a scene of violence that evening. The incident left his family, friends, and the wider community to mourn the loss of a young man in what was described as a senseless act.
