Do you know who murdered 55 year old Ralph Blassingame in 1999? On the evening of November 5, 1999, in Greenville, South Carolina, a violent encounter abruptly ended the life of 55-year-old Ralph Blassingame. The incident unfolded at approximately 7:10 p.m. at a residence located at 29 Hall Street.
Two unidentified Black males arrived at the address with the intention of purchasing drugs. They were informed by one of three individuals present that there would be no more sales that night.
In response to this refusal, one of the men brandished a weapon and shot the individual who had spoken in the head. Miraculously, this first victim survived the shooting.
Following the initial shot, both suspects entered the home and continued to fire their weapons. In the ensuing chaos, Ralph Blassingame was struck by the gunfire as he attempted to escape the escalating violence. He succumbed to his injuries, his life cut short amidst the mayhem. The two assailants were seen fleeing the scene in a dark green Jeep or a similarly styled Bronco, distinguished by dark tinted windows and some form of gold stripes.
To date, the case surrounding the death of Ralph Blassingame remains unsolved. Law enforcement has not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The two men who fled into the night have yet to be brought to justice for their roles in the fatal events of that evening.
