Antwoine Williams, an 18-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was killed in West Philadelphia on Sunday, July 24, 2011, in a shooting that unfolded in broad daylight along the 5300 block of Chestnut Street. It was around 5:00 p.m., a time when the block was active and dozens of people were outside. What should have been an ordinary summer evening suddenly turned violent when someone reportedly pulled up on a bicycle and opened fire.
