On a cold January evening in 2012, Chaz Anger, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on the back porch of his second-story apartment in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. in the 3400 block of Fleming Avenue. Authorities reported that Anger had just stepped onto his porch when at least one gunman opened fire from the yard below, striking him in the head and back. The attack was described by police as an ambush.
