Xiang Huang, a 27-year-old from Philadelphia, was fatally shot on January 20, 2012, in an incident that took place in front of his family. Huang, the owner of a Chinese takeout restaurant in the Tacony neighborhood, was confronted by armed assailants who reportedly demanded money. Despite his wife's pleas for the intruders to take what they wanted, the situation escalated, resulting in Huang being shot in front of his wife and young daughter.
