Darnell Johnson, aged 17, was tragically killed on July 17, 2012, in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Johnson was found with a gunshot wound to the head at the bottom of a set of steps near Centre Avenue. The incident occurred during a period marked by increased gun violence in the area, with Johnson's death being one of twelve homicides recorded in Allegheny County that month. Despite the presence of multiple witnesses, no one has been charged, and the investigation remains ongoing.
