In the fall of 2013, a quiet street in Philadelphia's East Mt. Airy neighborhood became the scene of a somber discovery. On October 22nd, 28-year-old Telly Bell was found deceased inside his black Nissan Altima on the 6600 block of Ross Street. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Responding to a call, police officers arrived to find a chilling scene. The passenger door of the vehicle was open, and the driver's-side window had been shattered. Inside, they found Bell, who was unresponsive and bleeding from his neck. Despite the immediate response, his life could not be saved.
