In the early morning hours of Thursday, May 29, 2014, a discovery was made at the intersection of 10th Street and Girard Avenue in Philadelphia. Inside a Plymouth Vista, police found 32-year-old Rahim Carter, a Black male from Upper Darby, PA. He had been shot.
Responding officers arrived at the scene at 4:46 a.m. Carter was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead by the hospital staff.
The investigation into his death would reveal a complex scene, with evidence suggesting the initial shooting occurred on the 1000 block of Harper Street, and an additional crime scene was located on the 900 block of Girard Avenue.
As of now, the murder of Rahim Carter remains unsolved. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to investigate the case and has urged anyone with information to come forward. No suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with his death.
