Eric Ramos, a 17-year-old from Philadelphia, was shot and killed on March 26, 2015. The incident occurred in front of a mini mart on the 2000 block of East Cambria Street. At approximately 11:01 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting and found Eric lying on the sidewalk. He had suffered gunshot wounds to his head, face, and upper torso. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition but sadly succumbed to his injuries later that night.
The investigation into Eric's murder revealed that the suspect, described as a Black male riding a bicycle, approached Eric and shot him multiple times before quickly fleeing the scene. Eric lived on the 3600 block of North Randolph Street, and his death remains an unsolved case. Authorities are still urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Philadelphia Police Department, as they continue to seek justice for Eric and his family. Community involvement is seen as crucial in solving such tragic cases of gun violence in the city.
