Tyreek Mason, a 22-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was found dead on July 5, 2015. His body was discovered inside the rear seat of a 2015 Volkswagen Passat at around 3:11 a.m. on the 5100 block of Front Street. Mason had been shot multiple times, and medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter, pronouncing him dead at 3:16 a.m. In addition to Mason, the driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old male, also suffered gunshot wounds to his hip and foot but was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.
Mason resided on the 1300 block of South Fairhill Street.
