On July 6, 2015, Alberico Jimenez, a 54-year-old Philadelphia resident, was found dead in the backyard of a vacant property on the 2800 block of Ormes Street. Responding officers arrived around 1:15 p.m. and discovered Jimenez with a fatal puncture wound to his chest, later determined to be from a stabbing. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene shortly afterward. Jimenez's death was ruled a homicide, but the case remains unsolved, with no arrests made.
